Vangel – In My Rumination

Equinox Artist Vangel hat einen Gastmix bei Rhythm-Incursions.

Das schön an “In My Rumination“, ist, dass so viel unterschiedliche Musik vertreten ist. Was mich ein wenig stört sind allerdings die Übergänge, da hätte sich der Kanadier doch etwas mehr Mühe geben können. Experimenteller HipHop mit grandiosen Beats, ein bisschen Elektronik und einen Hauch Gitarrenmusik – selber anhören heißt die Devise.

Kper – My Friends, My Family [Mix]

Ein großartiger Mix vom großartigen Kper manchen auch bekannt als Laurent Fintoni von z.B. Rhythm-Inc.

Zum Mix selbst sagt Laurent:

The mix itself is a pretty intense ride with 27 tracks in 45 minutes but I hope people get as much enjoyment from it as I did putting it together and that it leads to them checking out the artists and supporting them. The mix features a heap of exclusives, unreleased tracks and forthcoming releases. I have worked with every artist and/or label featured in this mix, so this is truly a snapshot of my friends and family.

Hab eigentlich nicht mehr zu sagen, Hiphop, Beats, teilweise Instrumental, teilweise mit Gesang/Raps, oft synthetische Beats gehen in einen Dubstep-Part über und enden in frickel-Elektronik. OK gemixt und sehr schmeichelnd für die Gehörgänge. Teilweise ganz schöne Kopfnicker dabei. Der Mix ist ein Gastmix für das Friends of Friends Label.

DJ ZedVantz – Death Mix

Wer bei dem Namen Zedvantz nicht an grandiose DJ-Künste und mixtechnische Großartigkeiten denkt dem ist offengesagt NICHT MEHR ZU HELFEN.
Ich persönlich habe mit Halloween nicht sehr viel am Hut – ganz im Gegensatz zu oben genanntem DJ. Dieser hat nämlich anlässlich Halloweens einen “Death Mix” veröffentlicht. Wo? Na, natürlich bei Laurent und seinen Rhythm Incursions.

DJ Zedvantz - deathmix-grey-midLaut Laurent sagt Zedvantz zu seinem Mix folgendes:

“Turntablism meets Hardcore/Metal meets Hip-Hop meets everything else under the sun.” – Zedvantz

Ausserdem sind laut dem Mixmeister ihmselbst noch eine Menge “teuflischer Dialoge” verbaut.

Die Trackliste ist vielversprechend; und die Erwartungen werden mehr als erfüllt…
Sehr, sehr guter Mix mit guter Musik und weiteren guten Gutigkeiten.

DJ ZedVantz – Records I Stole from RI

Achtung Achtung:
“Es ist ein neues Jahr, und wir alle müssen die Abholung.”
DJ ZedVantz musste die Abholung wahrscheinlich auch, denn er ist zurück mit einem neuen Mix. Dieses mal klaute er Platten von Rhythm Incursions und “spiegelte” sie “von Haken zu Haken wie eine Gazelle” zusammen.
In den Rhythm Incursions Towern mussten alle “lächeln und hüpfen über den Ort.“. Kein Wunder also, dass sie den “Records I Stole from Rhythm Incursions” Mix “the mother of all pick-me-ups” nennen.

Ausserdem:

Carlo – Phi + 888

Seit heute gibt es den zweiten φ-Mix
von Carlo auf Rhythm Incursions.
Ohne Trackliste, dafür aber mit der Möglichkeit Carlo selbst zu kontaktieren wenn man fragen hat. (carlok7@gmail.com)

Der Erste Phi-Mix
wurde am 21. Oktober 2008 veröffentlicht.

Ausserdem gibt es noch einen etwas älteren Mix von Carlo, der Vol. 888 Mix.

Die Musikbeschreibung für die drei Mixe halte ich mal relativ einfach:

Er selbst sagt über die Phi-Reihe:

“The general idea with this mix is to play edits of songs I find particularly interesting/engaging/inspiring that did not yet get the recognition I think they deserved. As with “Vol. 888″, the idea is not to mix songs according to tempo, but rather according to tuning and feel, in the high-school-mix-tape-for-your-girl fashion. And no, once again, there will be no tracklist, but feel free to drop me a line if you need specific info about a track…I’ll see what I can do. Gestern Abend: apfelzapfel liegt auf seinem 30 Jahre alten braunen Sofa, ist nicht ansprechbar und wirkt als hätte sein Geist seinen Körper verlassen. Hilfe? NEIN!
Verantwortlich für diesen Zustand ist, man kann es sich fast denken, MUSIK …

Indigo nennt sich der Gast-Mix von DJ Snatchatec, den man sich bei Rhythm Incursions durch die Leitung ziehen kann. Der Münchner bildet zusammen mit seinem guten Freund, dem Equinox Cheffe DJ Scientist, die Dedicated Beatheads. Snatchatec steht schon seit einigen Jahren hinter/vor den Plattenspielern und DJte schon für einige namhafte Musiker.

Pete Gleadall a.k.a. sasQwax dessen altes Synonym Waxfactor ist, ist ein MPC-Mensch und Turntablist aus Sheffield im Nord-Osten Englands.
