NickNack – QuickMix´s

Nick Malkiewicz besser bekannt als NickNack, Big Knows und Spectaculous stammt aus Dallas/Texas, beschäftigt sich mit DJing seit 1989, hatte 6Jahre seine eigene Radio-Show auf  KVRX (“Bside Mixshow”), ist in der Jazz Band BLAZE Mitglied und stand schon auf der Bühne mit unteranderem Outkast, Big Pun, Dead Prez, Dougy Fresh, Mixmaster Mike, KRS One, DJ Kool Herc, RJD2 und Diverse.

NickNack betreibt seit einiger Zeit einen Podcast der da so schön heisst: “NickNack QuickMix Podcast”

Momentane Projekte sind neben den “Ambulance Chasers” (mit Andy Zuk) sowie “Klo.pek” (mit Buddy Peace) “STOVEPiPE” (zusammen mit Fatty Ghettoblaster/Tony Stone).

R.I.P. Bo Diddley

Ellas McDaniel, besser bekannt als Bo Diddley verstarb am 2ten Juni 2008 im Alter von 79 Jahren an Herzversagen.

Das Rock´n´Roll Urgestein erfand den sogenannten “Bo Diddley Rhythmus”. Viele Musikgrössen wie zB. die Rolling Stones, The Who, The Animals, Eric Clapton, und Creedence Clearwater Revival coverten Diddleys Musik.

1955 landete das Lied „Bo Diddley“ einen Nummer-eins-Hit in den R&B-Charts. Weitere große Erfolge waren Lieder wie “Who Do You Love”, “Mona”, “Before You Accuse Me” und “I´m A Man”.
