Hier mal wieder was deutsches. Selten, aber wenn dann natürlich gut, um nicht zu sagen SEHR SEHR GUT.

Meni und Deve sind Produzenten, Rapper, Poetry-Slam Gewinner,  Schulradio-Promis und Freunde für´s Leben. Beide kommen aus (dem gleichen Vorort von) Stuttgart. Seit 2003 gehen sie gemeinsame Wege (mittlerweile auf dem Label Freakshit). Deve ist ausserdem noch Mitglied der Formation Shit mit Steel.

R.I.P Isaac Hayes

Isaac Lee Hayes ist Heute, dem 10.08.2008, im Alter von 65 Jahren gestorben. Seinem genialen Soul-Hirn ensprang nicht nur der Shaft-Soundtrack, er wurde auch in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen und ist die Orginalstimme vom Chefkoch (Southpark). Radio DJ bei Kiss FM, Oscar, Golden Globe, Grammy, NAACP Award und Edison Award Gewinner. Schauspieler und Miterfinder des Memphis-Soul.

DAMU the Fudgemunk – Overtime

Der Eine arbeitet zu viel, der Andere ist zu sehr in seinen Gedanken versunken. Beide bekommen nicht mit, dass am 5. August Damu the Fudgemunk sein zweites FREE-Album Names Overtime veröffentlich hat. Nur Dirk, Dirk bekommt es mit und teilt glücklicherweise sein Wissen, was ich mir dann einfach mal angeeignet habe. DANKE Dirk! (wer auch immer du bist…)

Ganz nach dem Motto “support yor local artists” gibt´s heute Musik aus Gießen.

More Abstract Than Concrete nennt sich die mittlerweile dritte “instrumental sound collage” von Moodstarr Productions (auf seiner Myspaceseite gibts auch die anderen Veröffentlichungen zu ziehen – 4 an der Zahl!).
Sampling basierte Beats-Musik. Sehr atmosphärisch, mit starken elektronischen Einflüssen. Teilweise Breakbeat ähnlich.
Und sehr, sehr viele Sprachfetzen.

Hat mich bisschen an arial Black erinnert. Äusserst hörernswerter experimenteller HipHop made in Hessen.
